Students Interested in Going to the US Naval Academy

Athens Area High School and Middle School Students are cordially invited to take part in the U.S. Naval Academy Operation Information 2010 (OPINFO) by joining in an information session scheduled Thanksgiving Week.  The U.S. Naval Academy is the primary college through which exceptional high school graduates are trained as Navy or Marine Corps officers while earning a top notch baccalaureate degree free of tuition.   OPINFO is an opportunity for interested students to meet current US Naval Academy Midshipmen from the Athens area and learn about the world class academic, leadership and athletic education available at the U.S. Naval Academy by meeting directly with Midshipmen currently attending the Academy.   Midshipmen look forward to meeting you and sharing their personal experiences as students at the U.S. Naval Academy.

Interested students in grades 7 through 11 are invited to the session listed above and should RSVP via email directly to the Midshipman host for that event.   Please use email subject line “OPINFO RSVP – Event #____” filling in the blank with the actual event number from the list below, e.g. EL-1.  Please include in the body of the email your name, the midshipman name and a statement that you’d like to join that session.  If you are unable to attend that session and would like to meet at another time during that week, feel free to email the Midshipman to coordinate another time.  If you know anyone interested in the US Naval Academy you can also share the following contact information for your local Blue and Gold Officer Representative for Athens Area Schools:
