Schedule Changes for Spring Semester 2011

Students have had their schedules for two weeks now and have had the opportunity to change a schedule (if it meets the requirements) during that time.  Tomorrow, December 8 at 3:30 is that last time that a student or parent may initiate a schedule chage request.  Of course if a student has failed a class or a teacher makes a recommendation for a level change, schedule changes will still occur.  This is your notificiation to "speak now, or forever hold your peace."  Forms are out in the counseling office unitl 3:30 tomorrow afternoon.  Here are the acceptable reasons that a student may receive a change of schedule:

• Need a specific class to graduate


• Failed and must repeat a specific course for credit


• Already earned credit for a class listed on the schedule


• Teacher recommendation for a level change


• changing diploma type (for seniors only)


• Changing levels (Written parent permission and the signature of the student's counselor must accompany this request)


• Adding an academic course to the schedule


• Change of career pathway concentration
