College Visit Anyone?

The Guidance Folks at North Oconee High School encourage students to visit colleges as early as possible in their high school experience.  This allows the student to begin to understand what "all of this" is for.  In other words, students walk away from the college visit- typically excited about college- ready to get their collective academic affairs in order so they can go off to this really cool experience that they have just visited.  Oconee County Schools believes in this so much that two days are given as excused absence for juniors in the spring and two for the senior who is planning a visit.  It is always encouraged that students schedule their visits with the admissions office at the college.  They will usually roll out the red carpet for you.  There is an important hoop to jump through when taking these visits.  Students must fill out the "College Visit Form."  We have attached one below for all of your college-visitation needs.  Remember that it must be submitted at least a day in advance to Ms. Paul, and that you must get official proof of your visit while you were there.  That will also be turned in to Ms. Paul in the Attendance Office and the 'unexcused' will be changed to an 'excused.'
