Dear High School Counselors and Administrators:
The Terry College of Business and J.M. Tull School of Accounting at UGA are hosting a summer accounting camp known as the Accounting High School Residency Program @ UGA (ARP) for high school students at UGA on June 12-15, 2011. The application deadline is May 18, 2011. We request your help in distributing the program information to as many high school students as possible via your faculty, staff and employees. The goal of the program is to encourage bright individuals to consider careers in accounting and as CPAs.

The goal of the program is to encourage high-potential high school students to consider careers as CPAs. In a 2008 survey of past participants, 80 percent of the high school students who attended the program indicated that they planned to major in accounting. It is our belief that the more the students are exposed to "real world" accountants, the more likely they are to pursue careers in accounting. Thus, we have professional accountants and CPAs 1) present sessions, 2) serve as chaperones, and/or 3) attend sessions or meals during the ARP.The "Register Here" button below is the student application link to the 2011 Accounting High School Residency Program @ UGA.
