Georgia Southern Scholarships
Georgia Southern has some helpful links and information about academic scholarship opportunities for freshmen. Scholarship deadlines at Georgia Southern are November 7th and February 1st depending on the student’s SAT or ACT test scores.
In addition to applying for Financial Aid by filling out the FAFSA, Georgia Southern offers many different academic scholarships to help high-achieving students cover their expenses. We have three different scholarship events for students to apply for: Southern Scholars Showcase, Scholars’ Day, and the Southern LEAD Conference. Southern Scholars Showcase is for students who have a 1300 SAT score (critical reading plus math only) or a 29 composite ACT score. Our Scholars’ Day event is for students who have a 1200 SAT score (critical reading plus math only) or a 27 composite ACT score. We also have the Southern LEAD Conference for students who have shown outstanding leadership in their high schools and involvement in their communities. Students must have an 1100 SAT (critical reading plus math) or a 24 composite ACT and a 3.0 GPA in order to be considered for the Southern LEAD Scholarship.
The key to applying for scholarships is submitting the scholarship application early.
