North Oconee has dedicated a place at the very front of the building to recognize her graduates who have answered the call to defend the freedoms that we teach and learn about each day. These photographs serve to not only honor these former students but to also remind us of the personal cost to continue to live out the basic principles that this country was founded on so long ago. Additionally, these pictures remind all of us to keep these individuals in our thoughts and prayers as we go about our daily lives. Today on Veterans' Day, we publicly recognize the following students represented on this wall: Jake Osborne, Michael Boucher, John Lawrence, Victor Pallotta (serving in Afghanistan), Trey Reed, and Jameco Edwards. Next time you are at the front office area of the school, stop by for a moment to share in our pride and in our reverence for what our graduates are doing in every corner of the world. If you know of any graduates who have accepted a commission and are currently in service to our country in one of the branches of the military, please encourage them to send in an 11 X 14 of them in their dress uniform so that we can recognize their contributions as well. On this Veterans' Day, stop and thank a Vet for their service.
