Afterprom Needs Your Help!!

Don't worry, this request will not involve you having to stay up all night! The Afterprom committee and OCHS Principal, Sheila Beckham are asking for you to help them (and us!) to win a contest.  Please read her call to action to help Oconee County win much needed money for Afterprom so that we can continue to keep the students of Oconee County safe on prom night.

Mr. Brown,
Please share this with your faculty, staff and students. The purpose of the competition is to raise money for After Prom. The prize money if we win will be received after this year's After Prom is over. It would be a great start on funding for next year's After Prom. We need you help with this.
Oconee County High School has entered a national competition to raise awareness about teen highway safety for NOYS's Act Out Loud annual contest. The grand prize of $10,000 would go to our county's After Prom program and benefit both high schools. We have been in the top 25 out of 250 schools nationwide for the first two stages of the contest. We are now in the third stage of the competition. In this stage we need our friends, families, and community members to “like” our competition picture on Facebook. Voting for this round ends Tuesday night at midnight, so we want to encourage as many people to "like" the OCHS photo as possible on Facebook. Vote on our school clown photo and share the link with as many people as you can. Here is the link: www.facebook.com/ActOutLoud
How do I “like” the photo? Follow the link to photos, then click on top 25, then like the OCHS picture. The OCHS picture is the one with clowns and two cars. The posters say Life is not a circus, don’t clown around.

Sincerely,

Sheila Beckham

Principal, Oconee County High School
