Are You a Math Guru?

Boston University is conducting a summer program called P.R.O.M.Y.S. (Program in Mathematics for Young Scientists) for 75 ambitious high school students with an exceptionally strong interest in math.  The goals of PROMYS are: to provide an environment for young people that will arouse their curiosity and encourage a deep personal involvement with the creative elements in math, to foster interaction between the PROMYS community and the larger community of research mathematicians and scientists currently working in academia and industry and to encourage habits of thought that lead to scientific independence and creativity.  This is a six week, residential program with a cost-per-student of $2700 (financial assistance is available).  To learn more, please call (617) 353-2563 or email promys@bu.edu.  Applications are available on-line at www.promys.org.  Applications are due by May 15th, 2012.
