Have you been active in serving your community this year? Parent, has your student given significant amounts of time and talent to an charity in 2012-13? If the answer to either of these questions is "yes," you are strongly encouraged to apply for the Prudential Spirit of Community Award. This award is designed to recognize the service one has given. Grades and other academic measures are not used in the determination of award recipient.
The student who is selected from the applications to represent North Oconee High School at the next level of competition will be recognized at Honors Night in May. Winners at higher levels will receive $1,000, a medal, and an all-expense paid trip to Washington, DC. If you win the national level, you will receive $5,000 and a gold medal.
