One of North Oconee's mission statements is that we will be a nationally recognized school. The best recognition that we can receive abroad is when our students matriculate at colleges near and far and use that education to meet their future goals. By connecting with colleges from around the nation, your counselors can best help promote our students and help provide counsel that enables students to compete at their highest levels in the application process.
This week, I have the unique opportunity to go to the National Association of College Admission Counseling Conference. This is an organization whose goal it is to help school counselors and college admissions professionals to work and learn together to help connect students to college admissions. North Oconee High School is one of four Georgia public high schools that will be represented at this national conference. This has long been a popular conference with private schools who annually strive to help students connect with great educational experiences beyond high school. This is going to be a fantastic opportunity to learn and help North Oconee Counseling to continue to offer the very best services to the students and parents of the Titan Nation.
All throughout this week, I will update the Guidance Blog with new things that I am learning at this conference. I hope that this will provide both students and parents with fresh insights!
