"Practice makes perfect," is time tested saying that holds some real truth. Because college entrance exams are so important to a student's future, it stands to reason that we want them to do their very best. This makes taking the PSAT (practice SAT) and the PLAN (practice ACT) so important for 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students. The opportunity to take both of these tests is on sale now in the Guidance Office until October 10th.
PSAT-
If you son or daughter is a 9th or 10th grader, he or she is already registered to take the PSAT, at no charge to you. The only grade level that needs to pay for the PSAT is the 11th graders wishing to take it. The cost is $16. As an aside, October 17th (test day for the PSAT) will be best spent taking this test. Any 11th grader who does not take the PSAT will be in a study hall first and second blocks.
PLAN-
All 9th, 10th, and 11th graders who wish to take the PLAN (November must register in the Guidance Office. The testing fee for this test is $16. It is a great idea to register for both tests as it will provide an opportunity to compare scores side-by-side to see if your student is better at one as they are the other.
