Leadership Unplugged: A CNN Experience

Leadership Unplugged: A CNN Experience is a one-week summer leadership institute for rising high school juniors and seniors.  This program delivers hands-on experiences that build the students’ skills in media literacy, personal leadership, critical thinking, and expand students’ worldview.  Participants are exposed to various areas of the media business through interactive workshops, tours, roundtable sessions, team-building exercises, and an etiquette dinner.  

Program Application

ONLINE APPLICATIONS DUE MARCH 1, 2013
Who: Current sophomores and juniors in Georgia high schools; 75 students accepted.
When: June 23 – 28, 2013
Where: Georgia Institute of Technology – Students reside for a week in college dorms, supervised by 21CL summer staff.
How: Submit an online application and recommendation from current teacher, counselor or youth leader by March 1, 2013.  Applicants will be contacted in January with an interview date, time, and location.
Cost: All costs for room, board, and program materials are covered by Turner Broadcasting System.
