Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Event for May 3rd

The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) and the U.S. Army have teamed up once again to present the Youth and Education Services (Y.E.S.) Career Day at the Races on FRIDAY, MAY 3, 2013, at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, GA.  We would like to invite you and your students to participate.  This is a FREE program that focuses on the importance of goals, continued education, and also allows students to learn about and explore various career opportunities. The NHRA Youth & Education Services Department was founded in 1989 and is the only full-time education program in motorsports that provides quality programs and activities for schools and youth organizations nationwide.  Since its inception, NHRA’s Youth & Education Services has directly interfaced with more than a million youngsters in trackside programs. Come celebrate 25 years with us!

The presentations will feature stars of the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, business professionals, representatives from NHRA, Don Schumacher Racing, and the U.S. Army, who will provide first-hand information about various career opportunities and continued education and training options that are available to students after they graduate from high school or college. After attending one of the 30-minute presentations, the NHRA will provide you with FREE tickets to enter the racetrack while the Top Fuel Funny Cars, Top Fuel Dragsters, Pro Stock and all other categories engage in qualifying runs throughout the day.  Experience racing at over 320 MPH…..in person!  You and your students will be free to explore career opportunities on your own for the remainder of the day.  For a complete racing schedule please log onto to nhra.com.
