This year's senior class is an amazing group of academic-minded students. What they have been able to accomplish to this point will most certainly set records for us. In attempt to be recognized as the awesome students you are, the State Department of Education has long-established a recognition only program geared at recognizing well-rounded excellence of the State's top students. To be considered for this program, students must complete an application. Included in this post is a PDF of the application. This is for your understanding of what this program application entails and will list out the lengthy requirements of this program. You cannot submit this application in this format, you must complete it electronically. IF you have been an Oconee Scholar in years past, this will look very similar. Please look the application over and if you feel as if you would like to apply for this recognition, please get with your counselor to complete the electronic application before February 7th to get started. No applications can be submitted after February 26th. Students who are recognized as Georgia Scholars will receive a foil seal that will be placed on your diploma and will be recognized at Honors Night on May 19th.
