Dear Georgia High School Faculty and Program Administrators,
The purpose of this message is to introduce to you and your
high ability students a new opportunity from the University of West Georgia’s
Richards College of Business. We have partnered with the Southwire Company on
the Southwire Sustainable Business Honors program--a collaborative project that
will help train future leaders who understand both the imperatives of
sustainability and the fundamentals of the business world.
The SSBH program began in 2013 with a $1.1 million gift from
Southwire. The program allows students to complete undergraduate business
studies and earn MBA degrees in four years. The only one of its kind in the
United States, the SSBH program uniquely prepares the leaders of tomorrow to
support both the economic development and environmental sustainability of metro
Atlanta and beyond.
Attached are a letter and curriculum outline that provide
more details on this program, as well as two promotional pieces. For those who
are interested in presenting this opportunity to your students, please send me
a mailing address and I can provide packets with printed materials. Also, if
you or any of your students have any questions regarding this new program, I
can be reached at mhildebr@westga.edu or 678-839-5356.
Thank you for your consideration.
