It’s that time again!
Time to start preparing for the SAT.
The October 11th SAT test date is right around the corner and sign ups
for the workshop have already begun. Lauren Jones will be holding another
6-hour MATH SAT Prep Workshop consisting of two (2) three-hour sessions to help
you prepare for the test by learning strategies specific to the SAT. Come learn
the tricks and give yourself the greatest opportunity to score well! Once the strategies are learned, practice, review
and refreshing of the key math topics that will be covered on the test will
take place. This class has had great
success in the past and many students increase their initial math score by an
average of 150 points.
WHEN: Tuesday,
September 30th, and Tuesday, October 7th, from 5:30-8:30pm.
WHERE: At her home 230 Brook Ct. Athens, 30606 (behind the
Publix on Atlanta Highway). If the class
becomes significantly large, a change in location will be communicated.
COST: $100 (cash only), plus a small workbook ($11-15)--The
Princeton Review Math Workout for the SAT, 3rd Edition. ISBN# 037542833X. These are available at Barnes and Noble or
many sites online. You will need to
purchase this book for the first session.
These books go quickly as the test date approaches, so go ahead and
purchase the book as soon as possible. It
is also recommended you have the calculator you plan to use on the test so that
you can become familiar with it.
Graphing calculators are permitted, but not required.
A pretest must be taken prior to the first session, so
please contact me as soon as possible so that you can have all the information
needed in order to have the test completed on time.
This workshop is in preparation for the October test date,
but you are welcomed to join even if you are not registered for the test.
