Don't Miss The College Fair on Tuesday Night

This Tuesday, September 9th, 6:00 to 8:30, a massive college fair will take place at the Classic Center in downtown Athens.  This event, called a PROBE Fair, will be a free way for you and your parents to connect to representatives of over 100 college and universities.  There will be something here for every student looking for post-secondary options involving any type of college or university.

Often, we get the question from parents of whether or not this event is important for freshmen.  "Yes, without a doubt" is the answer.  Your high school student needs to begin envisioning what the future holds as early as possible.  This can be a great way of helping your student to begin to see what opportunities are out there.

This event is once again free and open to all.  In order to maximize your enjoyment, the creators of this event have made a way for representatives from colleges that you are interested in to get your contact information to get on mailing lists for more information, and also to make a record of your interest (see blog entry: http://nohsguidanceblog.blogspot.com/2014/04/demonstrated-interest-how-important-is.html).  The attachment below will guide you through the process where you will enter your contact information and then print off a QR/UPC symbol for representatives can scan your bar code and electronically get your information.  No more filling out those "I would like more information" cards at every table you visit.  We look forward to seeing you at this event!
