Here is an exciting learning opportunity this month for
parents of students with learning differences!
Feelings of stress and anxiety related to school can seem overwhelming,
to both students and their families; students who experience learning differences
can be particularly affected. Oconee
County Schools' next Weeknight Workshop for parents has been planned to help
families with this issue. Drs. Abelkop,
Mason, Peters & Prowell from Athens Psychological Services will share
information on identifying signs of stress, coping with anxiety, and ideas to
enable families to navigate these issues successfully; a question and answer
session will follow. In order to
encourage free discussion, this workshop is for parents only; childcare is not
provided. This free Weeknight Workshop will be on Monday, November 16, at 6:30 pm in the Community Meeting
Room at Oconee Veterans Park (3500A Hog Mountain Road, Watkinsville).
