Dear Colleague,
Hello from Hopkins! We wrote you this summer to tell you
about the Hopkins Overnight Multicultural Experience (HOME) on October
12-October 14, 2017. We're still accepting applications and hope you will
encourage your students to apply before it's too late!
As a reminder, our Hopkins Overnight MulticulturalExperience (HOME) is an on-campus, overnight program connecting African
American, Black, Latinx/Hispanic, Native American, and multiracial high school
seniors to the clubs, organizations, and resources that unite our multicultural
community. This is a great opportunity for students to get a first-hand look at
what Hopkins is all about, from academics to life outside the classroom, as
they spend time on our campus and hear from our current students.
Students in the HOME program will learn more about the
university's commitment to underrepresented students. With offices dedicated to
celebrating and supporting students of all backgrounds, initiatives to recruit
more faculty members of color, and the most diverse incoming class to date,
Hopkins seeks to foster a diverse and inclusive campus community. We hope you
will encourage your talented rising seniors to apply for this opportunity.
Space for HOME is limited and an application is required.
Students interested in participating should visit the HOME website for more
information and to apply. Applications must be received no later than September
15; however, students are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as
possible, as space for the program is limited and admission to HOME will be
granted on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis.
Please share this information with any seniors you think
would be a good match for HOME. If you or your students have any additional
questions, please contact us at home.program@jhu.edu.
We hope your students will choose to apply for this unique
overnight experience at Johns Hopkins!
Sincerely,
HOME Team
