We are gearing up for the PSAT and
ACCUPLACER at NOHS.
The PSAT will be given on Wednesday, October 11th from
8:15a.m. until around noon. The test will be administered to 9th, 10th, and 11th
graders by their homeroom teacher. The test will be free of charge for all 9th
and 10th grade students.
Registration is not required for 9th and 10th graders.
They will automatically be registered for the PSAT.
*11th graders wanting to take the PSAT must register online (http://totalregistration.net/PSAT/110401).
The cost is $17. Juniors that do not register for the PSAT will automatically be registered for the Accuplacer. The Accuplacer is a placement exam for technical colleges. It is free of charge.
Students planning on attending a four-year
college or university are strongly encouraged to take the PSAT as good
preparation for the SAT and ACT.
