Fall semester is almost done and in the books!
Spring 2018 Schedules were made visible on PowerSchool Wednesday, December 13, 2017.
Please take a moment to look at your Spring schedules and look for issues, the biggest of which is scheduled for a course you are currently enrolled or have completed. The other issue you may see is two classes during the same class period or one block that is empty. This is a problem that is a legitimate schedule change request.
The other reasons for legitimate schedule changes are as follows:
• need a specific course to graduate
• failed and must repeat a specific course to graduate
• earned a credit for course listed on the schedule in the regular day, summer school, on-line, etc.
• teacher recommendation for a level change
• changing levels (i.e.- regular to honors)
*If your schedule change is not for one of these legitimate reasons, please do not submit a change request form.
Please do not ask to switch teachers. Please note that we can not make "change of teacher" schedule changes or to be with specific peers.
We are also unable to make changes to year long courses (A/B). Those courses have been created to last for the entire school year (fall and spring semester).
Also, we are not able to make changes to put certain classes in the morning or afternoon. Several of our courses are full and there is not much movement within the master schedule. Along with that requesting a specific course for a certain period is not a request that we will give consideration either.
Lastly, schedules are built based on your students original request. If you are asking for a course that varies from that request, we may not be able to accommodate that request. We will do our best to make the changes that we can for acceptable requests, but it may not be a possibility.
If you have a request that falls within the parameters listed above, please come by the counseling office to complete a schedule change request form. No emails or voicemails about schedule change requests will be addressed, only forms will be considered. The office is open December 13th, 14th, and 15th from 7:30 am-4:00 pm to accept schedule changes. We will also continue to accept schedule changes January 2nd-5th during the hours of 7:30 am-4:00 p.m.
