FAFSA: Should You Apply?

NOHS and OCHS recently hosted their districtwide financial aid information session.  The powerpoint has been loaded to the link below.

Our office is often asked about the FASFA and whether families should apply or not.  Our resounding answer is YES!  On many occasions families have to apply in order to qualify for scholarships, grants, or student loans.  It is much better to apply and not "qualify" for programs than to not apply and wish that you would have completed the form for financial options.

Students applying for the HOPE/Zell Miller Scholarship must either complete the FASFA or the GSFApps.

****Please note that each college has a financial aid deadline as well as an application deadline.  You MUST meet those deadlines to qualify for financial aid.  We strongly encourage families to meet the priority deadline, if possible.
