Mental Health First Aid Training

Mental Health First Aid Training Posted: 28 Nov 2018 09:56 AM PST Georgia State University, in partnership with the Georgia Department of Education, is offering free training on Youth Mental Health First Aid. This training is offered to all adults (eg., parents, educators, clergy, first responders) who interact with adolescents.  Youth Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour public education program that: introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health concerns in adolescents builds understanding of the importance of early intervention teaches individuals how to help an adolescent experiencing a mental health challenge teaches participants how to select interventions and provide initial help teaches participants how to connect young people to mental health clinicians They will be hosting two YMHFA trainings on Friday, November 30th and Friday, December 14th at Georgia State University.   You can register for this free training using the registration link below or by contacting Camara Gregory at cgregory7@gsu.edu or 404-413-9577.   YMHFA Registration Link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/32
