Hello,
March is upon us! We're so excited about the very diverse incoming class of future Scotties and global leaders we are building right now for the fall - some of whom may be your students! I know this is a busy time so here are my three (relatively) quick updates on Agnes Scott:
1. With
our Regular Decision deadline (March 15) two weeks away, I want to make sure you know that we are still offering merit- and need-based aid to students, including our $25,000/year
Trailblazer Scholarship for students who are admitted to the college and have a 1250 SAT/26 ACT OR 3.75/4.0 reported GPA. International students, test optional candidates, and home-school students ARE eligible but check
here for full details.
2. It's hard to know what a women's college is like without checking it out in person, and that's why we try to provide lots of options for students to visit. Campus tours, of course, are always available on weekdays, but we have several
special visit events remaining this spring, including our
Just for Juniors event (geared toward juniors, obviously) on April 6 and our
Scottie Saturday event on April 13. Specialized overnight events and visits for admitted students are available too if you are working with admitted students.
3. Need something more to convince a student or family to visit us? This year we are proud to be recognized as the 2019
No. 1 Most Innovative Liberal Arts College in the Country, No. 1 for Liberal Arts Colleges that Promote Social Mobility and No. 2 for Best Undergraduate Teaching by
U.S. News & World Report. If you are like us, you have a love/hate relationship with rankings, but we do love that these recognize the great things we're doing through
SUMMIT, our unique curriculum that focuses on global learning and leadership development.
We hope you'll share this information with your colleagues and any qualified students. If you need to know more about Agnes Scott, take a look at our updated academic profile in
By the Numbers and our
Counselor Resource page. For tips on the college admission process and Agnes Scott, consider subscribing to our new blog
