Agnes Scott College Visits NOHS!

Here is the student write-up of the Agnes Scott College visit to NOHS from September 4th.
Campus life: 
The dorm life at Agnes Scott is community style. They have a beautiful campus and relaxing outdoors to study. 
Admissions:
  Even though Agnes Scott is a private school, students can still apply with no fee! The average GPA for class of 2022  is 3.7, and the average SAT score is 1110- 1300. The average ACT score for students is 23-29. Alternative ways to apply to Agnes Scott is a test optional school as well as submitting a piece of writing or coming in for an interview with the admissions department. However, students applying can only choose one way to apply. 
Scholarships:
Agnes Scott gives out two scholarships for students who apply to Agnes. First is the Academic Merit Scholarships, the deadline is to apply to Agnes before January 15th, the coverage ranges from $15,000-$25,000 each year. It is based on a student’s academic achievements, community service, leadership, and extracurricular involvement. Agnes also offers Trailblazer scholarship if their SAT is at least 1250, or their ACT is at least a 26, or if their GPA is 3.7. The GPA can be the student’s weighted GPA. 
Majors/Minors: 
The top 10 majors for the class of 2018 was psychology, neuroscience, business management, public health, history, english-creative writing, political science, biochemistry and molecular biology, studio art, and mathematics. 



Unique Programs or Opportunities for Students:
Agnes Scott is an all girls private college. There are many opportunities to study abroad and intern at businesses. 

Visiting Campus: 
Agnes Scott offers daily visits Monday through Friday, there is a morning tour from 9:45AM to noon and 1:45PM to 4PM. Agnes Scott also holds Scottie Saturdays from 10 AM to noon on September 14th, September 28th, October 19th, January 25th, February 29th, and April 25th. Open House is November 9th!

Other Facts and Helpful Info: 
The student to faculty ratio is 10:1 and the average class size is 16. The cost of attendance total average is around $55,360, but there are a lot of available scholarships.
