Amazon Career Day

As many family incomes look different as a result of COVID-19, we want to provide opportunities that we become aware of that might be helpful. Below is an announcement from Amazon about a virtual Career Day. Students can also benefit from the event by listening to the advice that all job seekers benefit from understanding.

Looking for work from home employment opportunities?

Amazon is hiring over 33,000 workers! The mega online retailer just announced that they are hosting a huge virtual Career Day on Wednesday, September 16th.

This free nationwide event will give you the opportunity to learn about the 33,000 corporate and tech Amazon jobs currently available across the country. They'll also be sharing information on thousands of additional hourly positions that are coming soon.

However, whether you’re interested in working at Amazon or elsewhere, this live, interactive experience is intended for ALL job seekers (regardless of experience, professional field, or background).

During this 1-day event, they'll also be offering 20,000 1-on-1 career coaching sessions with Amazon recruiters who can help you with job seeking techniques. Learn tips on how to improve your resume, job-searching techniques, and get advice to help you stand out in interviews.

The event will give job seekers the chance to:

  • Receive individualized career coaching.
  • Discover new tools to navigate the current job market.
  • Learn more about open roles at Amazon.
  • Participate in interactive Amazon career workshops and smaller breakout sessions.

It sounds fun too! This Career Day event will be headlined by award-winning TV host, activist, and life coach Karamo Brown and former professional football player and NASA astronaut Leland Melvin, who will share their personal stories of career change and overcoming adversity. Plus, there will be tons of other popular speakers, special guests, and experts (check out the full line-up here)!
