The Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities (CURO) at the University of Georgia is excited to announce the 2021 CURO Honors Scholarship for incoming first-year UGA students. CURO promotes sustained, progressive, and faculty-mentored research opportunities for UGA undergraduates. The CURO Honors Scholarship is the premier opportunity offered by CURO to new UGA students. We are actively seeking applicants to this scholarship.
CURO Honors Scholars join the Honors Program at UGA, receive $3,000 in funding each year, enjoy mentoring and community support, and attend special seminars, workshops, events, and activities. CURO Honors Scholars start pursuing research in their first semester at UGA in the discipline of their choice. CURO Honors Scholars join a community of diverse students committed to growing academically and individually. CURO specifically encourages students from groups underrepresented in research to apply: this includes students from ethnic and racial minorities, students with financial need, students from rural areas, first-generation students, and students who anticipate working in underrepresented research fields. Prior research experience is not required.

Counselors, if you know of outstanding students who may be interested in pursuing undergraduate research and joining a community of scholars, please send them the attached brochure.
