The POSSE Foundation is a national organization, with satellite offices in many major metropolitan areas, which includes Atlanta.
They partner with 5 schools who pay a FULL TUITION scholarship (students still pay room/board, books, fees, etc) for all 4 years. They go with a "posse" of students, and have programming to develop their leadership skills over the 4 years of college. They focus on recruiting competitive students, who are diverse, and who may be overlooked for other opportunities, but have promise as far as academic and leadership potential.
Please see the powerpoint and video to learn more.
The Counseling Department has screening requirements that we have put in place based on speaking with other schools and with Posse about the student that this competitive program is a good fit for, so please look at the powerpoint information to ensure that it is something that you're interested in. It's a great opportunity and we would love our students to be a part of it!
It is an intense interview process, followed by weekly trips to Atlanta starting January 2021 to be with and develop relationships with their Posse. They would have to be able to commit to the college, these weekly visits to Atlanta during the week, and the interview process when applying.
If interested, please fill out this application by June 1st to let us know their interest and intent on being a part of the applicant pool.
