The information for the 2021 Data Science & Artificial Intelligence Summer Camp for high school students is now available!
The camp details are as follows:
- Virtual Camp
- Dates: July 12 to July 23, 2021 (weekdays)
- 4-hour morning sessions
- No cost for participation
- Participants need:
- Personal computer with video capability
- Internet access
- Phone
The flyer gives lot more details about the topics that will be covered in the camp. The camp will end with a Capstone Project, where the students would work in teams to form “Shark Tank” type fictional companies & business plans. The camp will be a fun and creative way to gain exposure to Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
The UGA Department of Statistics is partnering with Wells Fargo to offer this camp. In previous years, Wells Fargo has conducted the Summer Camp in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for rising 11th- and 12th-grade students. Students from the Class of 2021 may also apply to participate.
An estimated 20 (or more) high school students selected from across the Athens area to participate in this virtual camp. This two-week hands-on learning program will be developed and taught by experienced faculty members from the Department of Statistics and Data Scientists from Wells Fargo with a passion for inspiring High School Students.
