Hope your day is going great thus far!! Just wanted to formally “introduce” myself; my name is Aminatu Issaka and I am the Program Supervisor for the Pipeline to Success – Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) at Creighton University. In short, HCOP allows students the opportunity to develop the skills required to successfully pursue careers in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and many other limitless healthcare professions. Through programmatic activities/resources; access, education and training is provided to EACH student enrolled in the program.
Jumping right in, we are looking to recruit 25 high school students (juniors and seniors ONLY) to participate in our upcoming 2021 - 2022 Online High School Health Careers Ambassador Program session. Application season is officially OPEN. The 2021 - 2022 Online High School Health Careers Ambassador Program session is an 8-month, every other Saturday program (only 3 hours each of those Saturdays) that provides a plethora of academic and professional enrichment opportunities where students partake in various health-related workshops, professional development seminars, online mentoring, standardized test preparation, online homework support, virtual clinical shadowing, virtual field trips, etc. - sessions are to begin October 9, 2021 – April 30, 2022 (stipends included).
As you can see, the 2021-2022 Online High School Health Careers Ambassador Session will indeed remain virtual due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, not involve additional academic enrichment courses, and sessions ONLY occur every other Saturday since students are more than likely at their host institutions enrolled in credit-courses. The 2021-2022 Online Health Careers Ambassador Session is designed to complement a student’s present coursework and provide academic/professional support along the journey to success.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Now…the sooner, the better, since we only have 25 high school slots available – they can go pretty fast!!
STIPEND: $54 per session attended

- Letter of Recommendation - Kindly provide the following link to your recommender (mentor, coach, school counselor, school advisor, current/previous teacher, etc.) to complete your letter of recommendation; the letter will be sent to our office directly after he/she clicks the submit button: https://hipaa.jotform.com/

- One-Page Personal Statement – Upload this document within the online application system while completing the application.
- Income Tax Return Information (not required for Omaha Public School students) – Only need the first two (2) pages which states the taxpayer’s name and taxable income (can be your income tax return or a parent/guardian’s) – upload this document within the online application system while completing the application.
