PSAT
The choices and process for registration are listed below:
All 9th-grade students will take the PSAT 8/9, which is their grade level version of the PSAT/NMSQT. This is a digital test administered on the students’ Chromebooks. They do not need to sign up or pay a fee.
All 10th-grade students will take the PSAT/NMSQT. This is the traditional paper/pencil version of the test. They do not need to sign up or pay a fee.
Students in the 11th grade must choose one of these two options:
1. Take the PSAT - Students in the 11th grade may take the PSAT/NMSQT but must sign up and pay $18 in order to do so. The deadline to sign up and pay (here) is Friday, October 8th. This link is also on the school website.
2. Take the ASVAB - This assessment is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and is utilized to predict future academic and occupational success in the military. Students should sign up for this option in the counseling office if they are interested in military service or would like to know what careers with which their skills, talents, and interests best align.
