United States Youth Senate Program

Thank you for your patience in awaiting this year’s United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP) application for Georgia. We have made some changes to the program this year that we hope will make this opportunity more open and accessible to Georgia students.

Beginning this year, we will not limit USSYP nominations to one per school district. Instead, any high-school junior or senior may choose to apply. The application is available online at gadoe.org/USSYP. Students should complete the application online and in the digital format, once completed, print the application for parental signature, and sumbit their application to their counselor by Monday, October 25th.  The counselor will then submit completed applications to Dr. Brown for his final signature.

Students will take the USSYP Public Affairs Exam only if they are selected as a finalist. GaDOE will coordinate with the finalists’ schools to ensure the administration of the exam.

Qualifications for the program have not changed and are listed below and at the link and within the application itself.
