Are you looking for the ultimate resume and college application builder? If so, we have an opportunity for you to hone your mentoring skills, obtain valuable leadership traits, and gain intellectual property knowledge. Camp Invention is looking for Leadership Interns!
Volunteer Leadership Interns are extremely important to Camp Invention because they empower participants while supporting the local Director and Instructors. Their role is to act as a mentor to program participants by helping them brainstorm and problem-solve throughout the week. Leadership Interns also receive formalized, online leadership training, earn up to 40 volunteer hours, AND receive a letter of recognition from the United States Patent and Trademark Office! This summer Camp Invention will be held at Rocky Branch Elementary two different weeks, June 6-10 and June 13-17. You can choose to apply for one or both weeks.
Here are some of the amazing things you will do as a Leadership Intern:
· Closely mentor and inspire Camp Invention Leaders-in-Training and campers
· Assist with facilitating activities to build leadership and classroom management skills
· Improve communications skills through interactions with parents, educators, and participants
· Learn entrepreneurial and intellectual property concepts through online training developed in partnership with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
· Earn 40 service hours AND a letter of recognition from the USPTO
