P.E.O. Chapter BK of Athens is pleased to share with you about about two scholarship opportunities for exceptional high school senior woman students of the Class of 2023, who are planning to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution in the US or Canada beginning in Fall 2023. These scholarships are available through an organization called P.E.O. which is an international philanthropic sisterhood that promotes educational opportunities for women. P.E.O. is making a difference in the lives of women all over the world with more than 113,000 women benefiting from our organization's educational grants, loans, awards, and special projects.
The two scholarships are called STAR and Georgia Scholarships, and they are described in detail in the attached document. If you know of an outstanding rising senior woman student who meets these qualifications, please provide them with the attached candidate information form to be returned to me via email to the address listed below by Friday, August 19, 2022.
Please let us know if you have any questions about these scholarships or the application process. We have been very successful in finding candidates in the Athens area who have been awarded one or both of these scholarships for the past number of years. Last year, we nominated seven women and five of the seven received the Georgia Scholarship, and one of those five also received the STAR Scholarship.
