**MG Law Office Scholarship

MG Law Office is offering a great scholarship opportunity and we want to be sure that your students are aware of and have the opportunity to apply for. The scholarship is available for high school seniors as well as any student pursuing a higher education. The scholarship application is creative and different than most that your students are likely filling out. We are asking that they create an infographic surrounding car accident statistics. We will be selecting the winning infographic based on quality, usability, effectiveness, creativity, and helpfulness to warn people about the dangers of drunk driving. There are more instructions on the application itself.

**Polly Hardigree Ward Memorial Scholarship

The Polly Hardigree Ward Memorial Scholarship was established in 1997 by Ms. Vivian Claire Ward to honor her mother. In 1992, Ms. Ward also established the David henry hardigree Wildlife Sanctuary in honor of her grandfather, her mother's father.
The Scholarship is awarded yearly to two Oconee County High School seniors, male or female, one from each school who plan to pursue a four year college degree in the area of Agriculture/Natural Resources related field of Study.  Your application should be postmarked by April 15, 2019.

**Oconee County Chamber of Commerce - 2019 Scholarship Application

The Oconee County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that it will award $500 scholarships to one graduate from each of the five high schools in Oconee County.
Applications will be accepted between February 14 and April 15, 2019. All applications must be received by 9:00 a.m. on April 15th 2019 at the Chamber of Commerce.


**Titan Club Scholarship


Once again, the Titan Club will be sponsoring the Titan Club Scholarship to one female and one male athlete who has competed in athletic competition through North Oconee.  The winning male and female will get $1000 each.  All interested students should come to the counseling office and pick up a packet. The application is due April 17, 2019 by 3:30 in the counseling office. 


**Legacy Student Scholarship & the Dr. John Jackson Scholarship from Peach State Federal

It’s scholarship time at Peach State Federal Credit Union!  For our 2019 Scholarship Program, we are awarding more than $161,000 in scholarships and educational grants.  Our 17th Annual Legacy Student Scholarships and the Dr. John Jackson Scholarship are part of this program.
The nine $2,000 Legacy Student Scholarships are given in honor of past and present Board members and employees who have served Peach State for 20 years or more.  They will be awarded to high school seniors who will be attending college to pursue a degree in education. 
Our Dr. John Jackson Scholarship honors Dr. John Jackson, retired Superintendent of Oconee County Schools, for his contributions to the Oconee County school system.  It will be awarded to an Oconee County Public School graduating senior pursuing a degree in education.
All scholarship winners will be chosen by the end of April 2019 and notified shortly thereafter. 
Please distribute this information along with the attached scholarship applications to any of your high school seniors that meet the qualifications. In order for students to be considered, completed applications and supporting documentation must be received by Peach State no later than March 15, 2019.   

Please note: students should not submit multiple applications for our scholarships. Applications to more than one of our scholarships will not increase eligibility or chances of being selected.

**Drew Swan Sibling Scholarship

My name is Ashley Hilmer and I am the Project Manager at Extra Special People, Inc. (ESP). We are a nonprofit agency in the Athens area that creates opportunities for people with disabilities and their families to engage, connect, and thrive. I contacted you last year about the Drew Swan Sibling Scholarship, and I wanted to let you know that our 2019 applications have opened
The Drew Swan Sibling Scholarship is a one-year, non-renewable $1,500 award for a sibling of an individual with a disability, contingent upon acceptance or enrollment in a two-year or four-year nonprofit higher education institution. 
All interested applicants must be: 
  • The sibling of an individual with a developmental disability AND a permanent resident of Georgia (this is a change from last year)
  • Enrolled or accepted into a nonprofit higher education institution 
  • In pursuit of a 2- or 4-year undergraduate degree
  • Attending or planning to attend school at least part-time
  • Willing to provide additional documents as requested by the selection committee

*M&K Foundation Scholarship

The M&K Foundation has annually awarded multiple $1000 scholarships for seniors at North Oconee who are pursuing higher education beyond high school. Scholarship winners will be selected from students who are community servants and who have been solid students. Four North Oconee Seniors will receive an M&K Scholarship at Honors night. Completed applications are due in the Counseling Office no later than 3:30 on Friday, April 12th.

**Georgia Club Foundation Scholarship

Attached is the information about The Georgia Club Foundation Scholarships for 2018-2019. This is the seventh year that The Georgia Club Foundation has offered scholarship opportunities to the high school students in Oconee, Barrow and Clarke Counties. North Oconee High School students have excelled in earning our scholarships.
Deadline for receiving all scholarship applications is midnight of March 29, 2019. Any applications received after March 29 will not be eligible for an award so students need to give themselves plenty of time for the US mail. We will notify the students of their awards by email on May 1, 2019.

A Scholarship of $500.00 will be awarded to one senior student from North Oconee High School.

**The National Catholic College Admission Association Scholarship
The National CCAA Scholarship is awarded to eight college-going high school seniors from various geographic regions attending one of our member institutions in Fall 2019.
The scholarship awards were established by the National CCAA’s Board of Directors to promote Catholic higher education. We also aim to engage high school counselors in our effort to further encourage Catholic higher education.
The National CCAA Scholarship is a one-time, $1,000 award. This year's application is now available. The application is brief and will take students a few minutes to complete. The deadline to apply is March 15, 2019 and award recipients will be selected in mid to late March. **Hill Chapel Scholarship
The Hill Chapel Baptist church family will be offering a limited number of scholarships in the amount of $500 to qualified students based on their academic achievement, civic and religious involvement. Attached is the application. The application is due to the church office by February 22, 2019.

**UNG Common Scholarship Application
UNG’s new common application scholarship system is now up and running.  The new system will allow students to complete a general application which will be directed into each/every institutional scholarship pool for which students meet the criteria (i.e. if they are an Oconee County resident, they will automatically be batched into the Oconeefest scholarship pool AS WELL AS any other institutionally awarded scholarships for which they might qualify).

 The scholarship application deadline is February 14th, so I ask that you share this information and the following application link with students, parents, faculty, and staff who might be interested.

**Robins Financial Credit Union Scholarship
Robins Financial Credit Union is pleased to announce the continuation of their scholarship program. A qualifying senior will be selected and be awarded a one-year, $2,000 scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded to the chosen graduating senior who has been accepted to an will attend a college or university in the state of Georgia in 2019. It is based on scholastic performance, extracurricular and community activities, letters of recommendation, one-page typed essay, and level of financial need. **Community Bankers Association of America and The Julian & Jan Hester Memorial Scholarship


The Community Banker Association (CBA) of Georgia’s 2019 Julian & Jan Hester Memorial Scholarship is now taking applications.
Students submit the application, and other required material to Oconee State Bank (OSB). (Oconee State Bank has a scholarship as well) All of the applications submitted to Oconee State Bank will automatically be submitted to the CBA scholarship. So, basically, applying for this one scholarship gives students the chance to win TWO (one from OSB and one from CBA).

**The University of Mississippi Chancellor's Leadership Scholarship
This fall, the University of Mississippi will conduct its 35th Chancellor’s Leadership Class (CLC). Approximately 90 student leaders will be chosen from the class of 2019 to participate in this exciting seminar. Freshmen will receive exceptional leadership development opportunities. In addition, CLC students will receive a $1,000 scholarship ($500 per semester) for their freshman year.

To be eligible, a student must be admitted to the University of Mississippi for fall 2019 and have completed the Entering Freshman Special Programs and Scholarships Application. If you have a sincere interest in The University of Mississippi and believe that you have a strong record of leadership and community service then contact your counselor by 3:30 on February 8, 2019 to be considered for this nomination.

**Dreams To Kings and Queens Scholarship

My name is Tracy Stephens. I am the CEO & Founder of Dreams To Kings and Queens. Each year I award scholarships to graduating seniors. I know that paying for college can be a tough task for many students that graduate from high school. This scholarship is intended to help students have a chance at pursuing a college education and accomplishing their dreams. There will be (2) $500 scholarships and (2) $250 scholarships awarded.

The annual Oconee Lions Youth Citizenship Award is here once again. This scholarship is to recognize the achievements of TWO North Oconee graduates who provide evidence of good citizenship and are active in certain areas of the community. **The Garden Club of Georgia, Inc
Please see the attached letter from the Garden Club of Georgia about their scholarship. All applications are available online at gardenclub.uga.edu/scholarships.htlm. **Walton EMC/Walton Electric Trust Scholarship
In the spring of 2019, Walton EMC will award between 30 and 32 scholarships to graduating high school seniors whose primary residence is served by Walton EMC. Each scholarship will be worth $4,000 to students who best demonstrate the EMC spirit of community service, hard work and perseverance. Please see the attached application and instructions. The 2019 SACAC Horizon Award Student Scholarship Application is now LIVE!!!

The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. We are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in.

**Pilot Foundation Lydia Goodwin Volunteer Scholarship
Attached you will find a student application for the Pilot Foundation Lydia Goodwin Volunteer Scholarship Program.  This scholarship is awarded for outstanding community volunteer service to a graduating senior in the amount up to $1,500.

Students will need to return to the attached application to the counseling office by Tuesday, January 15, 2019.  There will be no late application.   There will be a selection committee to make a selection.  The committee will contact the selection for any addition information needed before our February 1 postmark deadline.

**Community Bankers Association of Georgia (CBA) is pleased to announce the 2019 Julian & Jan Hester Memorial Scholarship.
 What is the Julian & Jan Hester Memorial Scholarship? 
The goal of the Julian & Jan Hester Memorial Scholarship is to assist deserving high school seniors in their first year of college and to promote community banking. To compete, students must be sponsored by a local community bank, must complete an activity record expressing their leadership activity in school, write a short essay on community banking, provide teacher recommendations and an official high school transcript. Awards are based on academic merit and extracurricular participation, not financial need.
The scholarship is named after former community banker and long-time CBA Chief Executive Officer, the late Julian Hester and his late daughter, Jan Hester. Jan was a senior at the University of Georgia when she died in an auto accident on April 15, 1990. In addition to supporting community banking, this scholarship is an opportunity to pass on the positive qualities both Julian and Jan Hester exemplified to further the development of tomorrow's generations. 
 For convenience, the application is broken into two packets: one to be completed by the student, and one to be completed by the student's bank and turned in together to CBA by the bank.

**Walton EMC Walter Harrison Scholarship
Walton EMC is pleased to offer a student at your school a scholarship opportunity. This scholarship was established in 1987 to honor Walter Harrison, known as "R. Rural Electrification" for his lifetime efforts to make electricity available to every home and farm in Georgia. Eleven scholarships in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded for 2019.
****PLEASE NOTE****On the 1st page of the application, it states that the application deadline is Friday, January 18, 2019 and that the application has to be postmarked by this date and sent directly to a PO Box. If you have already done this, that is okay. This is a state wide application and the rules are being changed. We have spoken directly to Walton EMC and they asked that we collect the applications at NOHS and forward them on to Walton EMC by the date indicated. Therefore, we ask that you submit your printed application to the Counseling Office on MONDAY, JANUARY 7th no later than 3:30.

**Georgia Agribusiness Council - Ag Scholarships 
Let’s spread the word about this scholarship opportunity for students majoring in agriculture related fields. 
Purpose: To provide financial aid to a qualified college student or incoming college student majoring in any agriculture-related subject in an accredited college or university in Georgia. Graduating High School Seniors through graduate level students majoring in agriculture related fields are eligible to apply. Applications are due by October 15th.
Funds: Proceeds are derived from the Georgia Agribusiness Council Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, through member and business donations.
Award: Up to three scholarships of 1,000; non-renewable. Scholarship recipients to be awarded (2) tickets to the Harvest Celebration and recognized in front of agribusiness industry guests on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018.

Judging: The selection of the scholarship winners is made by the Scholarship Committee of the Georgia Agribusiness Council and is based on the criteria listed in the application.

This scholarship recognizes and rewards students of demonstrated superior intellectual and personal achievement and significant leadership ability. *2019 Prudential Spirit of Community Award
The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards Program is now available. Students in grades 9-12 are eligible to apply. This is an award that was designed to recognize students that have made meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service. This award is recognized on the local, state, and national level. Qualifying certified applicants will receive the President’s Volunteer Service Award, and will become eligible to win $1,000, or more, a medallion, and an all-expense paid trip with a parent/guardian to Washington, D.C. next spring.

There are a few steps to this application process.
1. A student must complete the application:

2. It will then go to the school/group that you are applying through. Once that group selects their ONE recipient that they can approve, that student's application will move on to compete at the state level. If a student wins at the state level, they can then move on to the national selection committee.
