It is your civic duty to be an active voter. The right to vote is what generations of Americans have fought and died to give you the right to do. As students of North Oconee, we urge you to get involved and get registered. In order to be able to vote in the upcoming election on July 20, 2010, you must be a registered voter. Getting registered is quick and easy. Any student wishing to become a registered voter should go to the Oconee County Courthouse from the hours of 8 to 5, Monday through Friday, from now until June 28th.
To be eligible to register to vote, you must be at least 17 and a half (18 to vote), a resident of the county in which you will vote, and a United States citizen. The next step is to get educated on the candidates! Be an informed voter. Thank you for taking this privilege seriously.
