Why Did the School Change Bell Schedules?

Yes... We have changed the bell schedule somewhat.  The new bell schedule is visible on the school's web page, http://www.oconeeschools.org/nohs/  This change came from polling all teachers to address concerns with the flow of the school day.  Our rational for the change:

1. This change keeps from interrupting instructional time by splitting classes for lunch and Titan Time.


2. Allows for travel between schools for Teachers and Students.


3. Work-Based Learning students are still on campus for Advisement.


4. Later lunch provisions have been made to allow students to have a snack in Titan Time before lunch.

Please be aware that the students' greatest good is taken into our decisions as a staff.  We hope that the quality of instruction will be enhanced by the lack of interruptions to the third block class period.
