2011-2012 Fall Schedules Are Now Visible on Powerschool

Students and parents can check the Fall schedule by logging in to Powerschool.  If you are unable to log in to Powerschool, it is likely that you have an unpaid debt.  Please call the front office to determine the amount of the debt and take care of it quickly so that you can find out what your schedule looks like.

For those who can see their schedules, please look at your schedule to see indentify any potential problems.  If you see a problem, a schedule adjustment may be required.  Due to the amount of schedule adjustments that the counseling staff is requested to address each year, personal communication between parent/student and counselor for each individual schedule adjustment is not feasible.  The only way for a schedule to be considered for an adjustment is by coming in to the Guidance Office to pick up a Schedule Change Request Form and dropping the completed form back off.  This allows us to give undivided attention to each schedule change request.  Please note that requests for specific teachers will not be considered, and requests to get out of an AP contract require administrative approval.

Below, we have listed the viable reasons for a schedule change.  When completing the scheduling change request, it is important that the request meets one of the following criteria:

-"Need a specific course to graduate."

-"Failed and must repeat a specific course for credit."

-"Earned a credit for a course listed on the schedule in the regular day program/summer school/night school/on-line."

-"Teacher recommendation for a level change."

-"Schedule needs to be balanced (for example- 2 academic courses/2 electives)

-"Changing levels (Honors to Regular, Regular to Honors) Note that parent permission must accompany this request."

-"Adding an academic course to a schedule."

-"Change of career cluster focus."
