In addition to the meeting that Sen. Saxby Chambliss will conduct (see previous blog announcement- http://blog.oconee.k12.ga.us/nohsguidance/2011/08/02/are-you-interested-in-an-appointment-at-a-military-academy/), Rep. Paul Broun will sponsor a Fall Academy Day as well. Fall Academy Day will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Augusta State University. Representatives from all five academies as well as cadets and midshipmen will be in attendance and will be available to answer questions of parents and students. The event is open to students grades 8-12. All persons who are interested in attending must make a reservation online at http://broun.house.gov by the registration deadline which is Monday, September 12, 2011, 5:00 P.M. Registration is limited to 300 people and is conducted on a first-come, first -serve basis. Students who wish to attend will select the Academy Day tab on the front page of my web site and follow the prompts to register. Each person who will attend Academy Day must register.
