Friends of Advantage (FOA) is a 501c nonprofit agency that directly assists Advantage Behavioral Health Systems, which serves people with Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Alcohol and other Drug issues throughout 10 counties in Northeast Georgia.
Friends of Advantage is currently planning for the 3rd Annual adDRESS a Need Project. This project seeks donations of prom dress/formal wear that is no longer needed. THese dresses will be sold to benefit Advantage Behavioral Solutions. This upcoming year we are adding an additional component to our project in order to promote the dress sale. In addition to our dress collections, two day sale at The Classic Center, and Prom Scholarship Awards, we are hosting the 1st Annual adDRESS a Need Designer’s Challenge, A Fashion Show Benefit for Friends of Advantage. This was inspired by the show Project Runway. We plan to Go Green and ask designers come in and remake some of the dresses that have been donated that is out of date to bring them new life! During this event, we are inviting each of the Homecoming Queens within our 10 county service area to serve as hostesses by modeling some of our gowns that will be available in the March sale and to be a part of a fashion show as the judges break to score the refashioned gowns . We will ask that each model assist Friends of Advantage with social media and other ways available to them to help promote this event. For more detailed information, please look at these attachments.
