Students will receive a copy of their Spring 2012 schedules in their Titan Time tomorrow, December 15th. Students are encouraged to scrutinize these to make sure the "gotta-haves" are in their schedule. If there are any problems (like the ones listed below), students should come to the Counseling Office to pick up a schedule change request form. No changes can be made without this form properly filled out. All requests are due by Monday, December 19th at 3:00 pm! Please understand that only schedule change requests that meet the criteria listed below will be considered.
-Need a specific course to graduate
-Failed and must repeat a specific course for credit
-Earned credit for a course listed on the schedule in the regular day/summer school/on-line course, etc.
-Teacher recommendation for a level change
-Changing levels (Honors to a Regular, Regular to an Honors) Written parent permission and the signature of the student's counselor must accompany this request
-Adding academic courses to a schedule
-Changing a Career Pathway focus
AP Classes are a big deal to get out of. 99% of the time we believe that what is in your best interest is to stay the course in your AP until the end of the year and get the full benefit of this class. For the 1%, the schedule change form is step one in a long process to be considered for this type of change. Please note that the following schedule change requests are not legitimate and should not be submitted:
-Want a different teacher
-Prefer PE at the beginning/end of day
-Would like to have lunch with my friend
-Anything else that does not match up with one of the concerns from the list above.
