Are you looking for an all-expense paid trip to Washington, DC this summer? Are you a sophomore or junior who is willing to learn about our local Walton EMC? Walton EMC will once again sponsor their Washington Youth Tour June 14-21, 2012. This is a contest, and you will compete with other candidates by taking a test on material that you will be provided that deals with electricity, cooperatives, Walton EMC and the electric utility industry. Eight contestants will be selected from the highest scores and judges will pick four from the eight to go to Washington this summer. In years past, we have had students attend this trip, and they reported that it was an amazing experience that got them up close and personal with our Government.
