Would you like to have part of day during your junior or senior year next year (2014-15) to go over to one of our local colleges to take college level classes that will count at college AND at NOHS? Better yet, would you like for someone else to pick up most of the cost of the college class? What you are looking for is called ACCEL or Move on When Ready.
This is an amazing opportunity, especially for that student who is ready for the challenge and ready to leave some of high school life behind. Students and parents who are interested in programs like this should be aware that there are specific hoops to be jumped through in order to make this dream a reality. We will host a meeting on the 16th of January at 6 pm in the Fine Arts Auditorium where representatives from Athens Tech, University of North Georgia, Piedmont College and the University of Georgia will be here to educate you on the ACCEL program and Move On When Ready. This meeting is a MUST for anyone wishing to take classes next year at one of our local colleges.
