The Alumni Association will be accepting applications for the following scholarships through March 1st!
The Valdosta State University Alumni Association is committed to the recruitment, retention, and success of future VSU Alumni. It is through this mission that the VSU Alumni Association is presenting multiple scholarships to qualified applicants. Applicants will need to complete the respective application for each scholarship to be considered. The scholarships being awarded by the Valdosta State University Alumni Association are as follows:
The Valdosta State University Alumni Chapter of Atlanta is offering two scholarships to applicants who have a permanent residence in Georgia AND are residents of one of the Metro-Atlanta counties: Dekalb, Fulton, Clayton, Cobb, Fayette, Gwinnett, Douglas, Henry, Rockdale, Forsyth, Cherokee, and Paulding; who have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0; and who are undergraduate students with a minimum of 30 credit hours completed OR graduates student with a minimum 9 credit hours completed.
The Valdosta State University Alumni Association Endowment Scholarships were created by members of the VSU Alumni Association to benefit two students in good academic standing. The alumni association Student Services Committee selects the recipients. One scholarship will be awarded to a legacy student and one scholarship will be awarded to a non-traditional student. Each must be a resident of Georgia; have a minimum GPA of 2.5; and be an undergraduate student with a minimum of 30 credit hours completed OR a graduate student with a minimum 9 credit hours completed.
The Valdosta State University Golden Isles Blazer Club Scholarships were created by members of the VSU Alumni Association Golden Isles Blazer Club to benefit students in good academic standing from the Golden Isles area. The Golden Isles Blazer Club Executive Board selects the recipients. The candidate must be a resident of Golden Isles Area of Georgia; have a minimum GPA of 2.5; and be an undergraduate student with a minimum of 12 credit hours completed OR a graduate student with a minimum 9 credit hours completed OR be an incoming freshman with a letter of acceptance from VSU (*copy of letter must be included in their application packet.)
Please read the applications carefully as there are different criteria for each. All applications must be submitted in their entirety by March 1st to be considered.
