Hey, life happens. We get it! We uploaded the powerpoints that were used, along with a copy of the handouts distributed at each of the information sessions. These can be found by going to the Guidance Blog and finding the TOOLBOX on the menu bar at the top. All meetings that have been held in the last calendar year have handouts and powerpoints linked for your use.
As much as we believe that the powerpoints are going to be helpful, unfortunately, they are missing the commentary that went along with these presentations. We hope that you will be able to attend the next event that NOHS guidance puts on. We build great events that make you glad that you were able to be in attendance. Here are the dates for the rest of our programs for the year:
September 9th- PROBE College Fair 6:00-8:30 at the Classic Center-- Click HERE to register
Over 100 colleges will be represented on this one evening that is absolutely free to attend. This may be the very first step to your student to map out future goals for college.
January 15th- Dual Enrollment Information Night 6:00 pm in the Fine Arts Auditorium
Dual Enrollment is where students can take college classes from one of our local colleges WHILE they are still enrolled at North Oconee. This is a great opportunity for your student, but there is a lot of hoops to jump through. Put this one on your calendar if you are the parent of a sophomore or junior.
January 27th- Financial Aid for Parents of College Bound Students 6:00 pm in the Fine Arts Auditorium
Come learn about FAFSA forms, student loan options, HOPE Scholarship, and so much more. Parents of juniors and seniors, mark this very important date on your calendar.
