North Oconee High School offers an array of extracurricular activities for students. We want to engage students in their areas of interest. Studies also find that involved students tend to perform better in their classes, enjoy their high school experience at a higher level, and can further explore areas of interest. We often encourage students to join an organization to help them shine on their college applications. US News and World Report posted an article recently that explains how many colleges view extracurricular activities. This article might provide great insight on how students can think through their choices of extracurricular involvement. It doesn't always have to be an organized school event. We want our students involved at NOHS but they can also strike out on their own and create their own "project" that betters our school and community.
