Are You Intersted in Learning Chinese?

Seniors:

Are you interested in learning Chinese? Please look at this letter from North Geogia College and State Univeristy:

We're a Department of Defense ROTC Chinese Language Flagship university. This program is an incredible opportunity your students who plan to go to four-year universities and are interested in the Chinese language and culture, and getting jobs in the federal government (CIA, FBI, Department of State, etc.), or as Army officers after they graduate college.

Highlights:
  • Five-year bachelor's degree program.
  • Major in nearly any academic major at North Georgia.
  • During your first four years:
    • Take Chinese courses while completing all your major requirements.
    • Complete one or two short study-abroad programs to study Chinese in China.
    • Take some “content” courses at North Georgia in Chinese.
  • Your fifth year is spent in China:

    • Take courses in your major in Chinese during first semester.
    • Second semester is an internship with a Chinese government or business entity related to your academic major.
    • Graduate North Georgia after your fifth year in China:
      • Receive a bachelor’s degree in your major.
      • Receive a second bachelor’s degree in Chinese (optional).
      • If you are not going to commission, you receive hiring priority from federal agencies (FBI, CIA, Department of State, etc.).
      • If you are going to commission, you will become a lieutenant and probably go Army intelligence.
      • Attain a superior fluency in Chinese.
