On September 18, 6 to 8:30pm, the PROBE College Fair will take place at the Classic Center in downtown Athens. This is a great way to be exposed to a lot of college options at one time. 75 to 100 colleges will be represented at this event. A cool new feature this year is the addition of a barcode system to add convenience to your experience. Instead of having to complete mailing information on a card for the colleges that you are interested in, students will be able to enter their information on a website and then be given a barcode to take with you to the PROBE Fair. When the student stops at a college he or she is interested in, the college can simply scan the barcode and they will have the information to be able to mail information without any cards having to be completed! Wow! That is going to free hands up to carry all of the brochures, key chains, pens, koozies and lanyards that the schools will be handing out.
To get registered for a barcode, go to http://www.gotocollegefairs.com/ and follow the directions. Also, remember that there will be another college fair in Gwinnett at the Gwinnett Civic Center on September 19th from 6 to 8:30 pm as well if you are looking for a larger college fair experience or cannot make the one on the 18th.
Also, it is a great idea to have good questions to ask college representatives when you meet with them so that your experience is rich with useful information. We are including some great questions that will help make your experience at the PROBE Fair the best. Pertinent PROBE Fair Questions
