Vandy Fan for a Day provides high school SOPHOMORES and JUNIORS of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds with invaluable information about the selective college admissions process, insight into Vanderbilt's need-based aid and affordability and a chance to enjoy the excitement of Memorial Magic as the men's basketball team takes on the Villanova Wildcats.
The Guidance Office is allowed to nominate five sophomores and five juniors who are high-achieving. The following factors make a student a good candidate:
- 94.0 or higher numeric GPA
- students who will be a first generation college student in their families.
- Students who are participating in free or reduced lunch programs
- students who are significantly involved citizens of your school community
