After twelve years of fun and safe After Proms, the students of NOHS and OCHS are taking the lead to plan the 2015 event! The Students Advisory Board is a leadership group comprised of about 24 students (facilitated by an adult from the planning committee), and they've begun meeting to select the theme and brainstorm new ideas and activities to draw in their friends.
NOHS and OCHS parents, teachers and other community members are needed and invited to come on board now. The adult committee will be key in working on the logistics of plans and communicating with the Student Advisory Board about implementation.
The next meeting is Monday, November 3, 2014 from 7:00-8:00 pm at the Oconee Library (Watkinsville) in the ESP Conference Room. At this meeting they will focus on brainstorming how to promote the event to the community. They will also hear about what the Student Advisory Board has been doing.
The new energy for the 2015 event is contagious! Don't delay to join the fun! Come be a part now!
